And I've been to South Africa btw and I can tell you that it is far from being about black and white now,its about survival.Just like here in the U.S. the barrier is drawn between the halves and the have nots that simple.

And Peter im not saying that their not not financial class divisions I think thats true in any society,it was even true back int he Jim Crow era what I am saying is that whites over there are the same as alot of white over here they feel that they should get some type of extra benefit because of the color of their skin and its just not happening.There are probably 10 times more poor blacks in SA then poor whites,so why do they think te government is being racist?

I'm going to steer clear of this topic (for obvious reasons Rolling Eyes

) but I just felt it neccessary to mention that white people are not the only ones that complain about unfair discrimination when its obvious that the issue has nothing to do with that.

Well from a Canadian point of view I guess I never will understand why skin color seems to be the only issue with you guys in the U.S. and elsewhere.

Here we have issues but its divided more along the lines of national pride(I hate the Veschie French,dont care what color they are lol).

It is a sad situation in Africa for everyone and always has been.I never been to South Africa but I have heard some of my freinds say that it is now 70% slum,20% middle class and 10% government corruption.There is nothing more.Really said seeing that South Africa had so much promise last century and was in line to become the only major power and modern society on that continent.Really sad.

Yes but that is mainly because when the apatheid era was ended in SA most of the white owned and controlled companies and banks pulled their operations and money out of the country and back to Europe where they came from(just as American influence and business was forced to in Cuba when Castra came to power).

And for the record the slums have always been there its just now that those slums are beginning more and more to involve whites now people in high places outside of SA are noticing.

So very true.The the post-arpatheid era government in South Africa is just as corrupt and greedy as it was during that period.South Africans both black and white are still getting screwed because it never really was about race but instead about control of the flow of money a resources.
