No, not quite like Spidey, but a hero none the less.
In the movie...
Sam Flynns (Garrett Hedlund), father Kevin Flynn/Clu 2 (Jeff Bridges) was once the worlds leading video game developer (CEO of ENCOM International, Owner of Flynns Arcade and creator of Tron). He disappeared in 1989 while in the midst of developing a "digital frontier that will reshape the human condition." Clu 2, is also portrayed by Jeff Bridges, and is the new incarnation of Flynn's original hacking program.
After 20 years...
Alan Bradley (Bruce Boxleitner), the COO of ENCOM International, and close friend of Kevin Flynn, received a cryptic page from the office of Flynn's old arcade, that only could have come from Kevin and he encourages Sam to go and check it out.
When Sam, investigates the strange signal, he finds himself pulled into a world where his father (Kevin) has been trapped for 20 years. With the help of a fearless warrior in Quorra (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life and death journey across a visually stunning digital universe that has become far more advanced over the years and try to free themselves from a ruthless villain (Castor/Michael Sheen), who will stop at nothing to prevent their escape.
