As a MJ fan this bugs me for several reasons, not the least of which is that his close friends and doctors say that this accident is what started and drove Michael to begin taking numerous medications including pain killers and the anestetic that finally killed him.I found out that for legal purposes this was never released until after his death last year.It is truly upsetting to see even 26 years later.I feel even sorrier for him now,but atleast he moved on as a great peformer and became stronger than ever.

When I was a kid I lit a match and put it underneath a piece of tin foil on stove to see if it would burn through, when I left and came backa few minutes later I forgot that the fire was underneath the foil and I put my hand on it and burned the living fuck out of myself. Its amazing that Mike was able to maintain his composure and spin around like that after being so badly burned.

RIP MJ Crying or Very sad

I had heard this mentioned before but this is my first time ever seeing it.He played it cool for his fans but you could tell afterwards that he was in serious pain.Poor guy,he suffered 1rst degree burns and had to go on pain medication for months afterwards as he healed and the media was kind of hush hush about it.

Whether or not this had anything to do with his later drug use and bleaching of his skin, well,we may never know that. But RIP to him.A great entertainer.

Not funny No

Coming from someone who has been severely burned before I can tell you that Michael was strong to endure such pain and nto start screaming and running.

RIP to him.

I know that we all have a free mind to make decisions but no doubt this must have had a tremendous impact on him physically.I cannot imagine the pain because thankfully I've never been burned. Its good that he got medical attention immidiatley following the accident. Its sad to think that this is indeed what may have caused him to start abusing drugs as the rumors and tabloids claimed. However he had a rough childhood growing up as a young performer with the Jackson 5,and it really wasnt a childhood just day after day of rehearsing for the next stage show,so it was probably a number of things tolling on him.He certainly in his own right became larger than life itself to many of his fans, but still just a meager human being to God.I hope sincerely that he made his peace with the Lord before he went to stand before God's Holy throne, because no matter how much you have you people look at you on this Earth there is only eternity after this life has passed.

RIP MJ.

Michael Jackson made his choice to abuse perscription pain killers, steroids and int he end anestetics. Its easy to find reason for excuse in anything we or others do without wisdom but in the end it is that individual person who must consider what is right, fair and safe for themselves.

The burning of his head was the result of the pyrotechnics set ablaze as well as the grease put in his hair.Very terrible and painful I might imagine but still, how can people blame this one incident on his over use of drugs well after he was healed and it happened?

Besides it is well known in the entertainment industry and particularly within the sports and music industries that performers do drugs in between shows games and daily inhale/exhale life. And thats been going on since the early 20th century and the St.Louis Olympics of 1908.
