Great card overall. What a way to ring in the new year.

What a performance by the crazy one Clay Guida lol....his best yet.he stayed quick and mobile against a much better fighter and outworked Gomi to a convincing submission.

Thiago Silva and Brandon Vera(which really should have been the co-main event) put on an all out brawl but Silva was the bully in the end.It almost looked like he was the big brother punking the little brother, especially when he started slapping him like a bitch Laughing .

Then Chris Leben gets shut the fuck up by a virtual new comer in the UFC,yea some "wet paper bag"punch eh Crippler?

And finally one what I can truly say was THE most exciting championship fight Ive seen since Silva vs Sonnen. In the first round looked like it would go just as expected with maynard pushing Edgar around and almost TKO'ing him in the first but then Edgar came back with a vicious pace and effort in the next few round even getting some take downs on Maynard. He proved that he could overcome.I dunno people boo'ed at the end with the draw but sheesh what can you do both of those guys(especially little Eddie) fought their hearts out.I mean I could have seen a split decision as well but who would you give it to?I actually think Edgar would have had a slight edge there the way he was carrying on.

Im pumped to see that new WEC prospect contend for the LW title now.

Best part of the fight. lol!

Man, his reaction time reminds me
of a 60 year old in a 30 year olds body.
But, he's a local boy now. So, no matter
what, I'll support him through thick and
lights out! Razz

I saw a true Champion, fight tonight!
I mean, to actually survive let alone
comeback from that 1st rounds just,
UNBELIEVABLE!!! Shocked

But anyway, after watching the fight
I thought they split 2 rounds a piece
(1 and 3, Maynard/ 2 and 4, Edgar).
5's arguable, but I didn't see anything
convincing either way. So, I saw it as
an even round.

Though, I don't agree with the decision
and still thought Gray won, because that
first round's definitely a 10-8 round (47
-46 Maynard). No

Yea man, it's official and Pettis, will be
fighting Edgar, next. bounce

Ha!The Bully Maynard got shown up and Leben got shut up.What more could you ask for in a single night of fights? Laughing Your right Ev that was Supetastic.great way to kick off the New year.I know Edgar beat BJ twice and drew to keep his belt against Maynard but he's gonna be on a different playing field against Pettis Shocked

Edgar may be good with his hands but this guy is on some straight up Jet Li Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon shit lol.I knew the day would come following Silva when someone would start doing movie shit.

Cung Le is the only other dude besides A.Silva and Anthony Pettis that can perform actions like this and make them work lol.

People still havent learned Rolling Eyes .Now everyone is hyping up Belfort when he is going to be coming in off a serious case of ring rust(more than a year out) and having never fought at middle weight.I mean yea he has hand speed and he really should have been given that fight with Fedor back when he was going to take it but Silva not only has hand speed but tactical genious, damage tolerance and jui jitsu. Not to mention that Vitor has had a niche for failing against top level fighters and had lost a 3rd of his professional bouts.Even if Silva cant get him stand which I doubt,he will get him on the ground.Silva is just the most well rounded fighter and folks dont believe the hype........win lose or draw,Vitor is coming with NOTHING more than Silva has already seen and dealt with and defeated since he's been champ(2006-present).If all Vitor plans to bring to the table is punching power this match up might as well be like Paul Daley vs Josh Koshcheck just alot worse lol.

I'd say Silva by 2nd round TKO or submission.

As far as the Bader vs Jones fight.......I think Jones is another hype man.He only fought at dominated 2nd teir fighters.Im still waiting to see Dana put someone in front of him that can knock his block off if he zigs where he should have zagged like Lyoto or Thiago. But Dana has a niche for protecting his assets or atleast fighters he thinks he can ride for a while to make profit before they slip up and lose lol.If Bader catches and finishes him it wont surprise me he is justs till too green in my opinion to be considered a dominant LHW.

That being said and considering that bader is another 2nd tier I'll say that Jones should win by first round TKO or submission but only time will tell.

No doubt! man, I'm going with Pettis by TKO Cool

I also wouldn't mind seeing Ben Henderson,
fight Gray Maynard. Physically, they both
match up well and have similar backgrounds.

I agree in that only time will tell.
But, for the most... I believe he'll
beat Bader to the punch and that's
a WRAP folks! Razz

Yea Colt,I dunno why people are underestimating Silva against Vitor who will be noobie at 185.Everyone is expecting him to beat Silva up,but I guess time will tell.

Honestly I would much rather see a GSP vs Silva fight.

The 13th season of the reality series
"The Ultimate Fighter" finally has its
coaches, as UFC president Dana White
announced tuesday that heavyweights
Brock Lesnar and Junior Dos Santos,
have agreed to fill the roles, since Cain
will be out for the next 6 to 8 weeks on
a torn rotator cuff.

So, who you guys got?

Brock Lesnar (5-2)

Junior Dos Santos (12-1)

After, watching Brocks last fight. I'm
guessing it won't be any different this
time out either (Junior, by TKO). Razz
