PostSubject: Is'Source Code' bringing in a case of 'De Ja Vue'???   Wed Mar 09, 2011 12:59 am

Ok so This new film coming out April 1st about a government agent of some sort using a special machine portal to warp back in time to find the perpatrator who just blew up a Metra train in Chicago starring Jake Gyllenhall(Zodiac,Jarhead) and Michelle Monohagan(Mission Impossible 3,Eagle Eye) looks good but some critics are calling it like a knock off version of 2006's De Ja Vue(starring Denzel Washington) about a federal agent going back through time to save the day after a bomb rips apart a ferry boat killing everyone aboard in the Bayou Bay of New Orleans.

After reviewing the plot and seeing the preview vid,I agree that it could very well pass as De Ja Vue 2 lol. Also this 2008 flick called Vanatage Point comes to mind as well.Plus Im not too sure of Jake Gyllenhal as a lead cast member in this,I dont really like him as a race against time action super hero type character but hey it is what it is lol.I'll check it out skeptically just cause it was shot in Chicago and I love movies where shit blows up

yes it was pretty solid.Though for some reason the whole time I saw the preview for it I thought it was set in New York harbor,I had no idea it was the New Orleans bayou until I actually saw it.I would love to see more of that little cutie pie chick that played opposite Denzel too. Wink

I was just telling my sister that there are indeed a select group of actors and actresses that 9 times out of 10 get all the major roles an deveryone else is left hoping.

Anne Hathaway becoming Catwoman is proof of this lol Rolling Eyes

I agree Jake just looks totally wrong in this role.

How do you know?did you watch the film yet?And I disagree about his acting sucking,he's just liek other actors that need certain roles to make their acting come out and show its vitality (if thats the right word lol)
