Hey guys I was just thinking about this question while watching a Lady Gaga concert in Sweden over youtube this morning lol.She is magnificent. But it is common knowledge that not all music artists and groups give quality or atleast sound quality in their live performances.Liek a good example of this would be Whitney Houston in my opinion. She is one of the greatest vocalists of our time but I never could appreciate her live perfomances, even back during her prime,it was just something too corny about them with the lack of live instruments usually and second rate back up singers.Who do you think does a good job performing live in the past or present? This is one of my pics for the best

LoL I know what you mean about poor Whitney...and now with the smoking of crack and life with Bobby Brown, she is all but finished now.........such a waste of good talent.

I have noticed what you mean about the differences between artists in live performances. My pics....(maybe not the top of all time) would off the top of my head be performers like James Brown,Michael Jackson,Phil Collins,Usher Raymond,Luther Vandross,Jay Z,Beyonce,Tom Petty,Paul Simon(beautiful rendition of "free Falling at the Superbowl" etc.

I think the lack of feel we may get from some performers, even those that we like,in live recorded events is more a product of poor management and lackluster coordination and even choreograghy than it is the actual performer.....(unless we are talking about Miley Cyrus rofl Rolling Eyes Laughing ) .

Lilly check out the Beetles live concerts from the mid to late 60's.even if your not a Beetles fan you have admit the performance and the energy from thousands of screaming fans was brilliant!

I am also an avid lover of Yanni's live performances like the one he did at the Greek Acropolis and at the Taj Mahal years later. He had to get special permissions to perform at those sacred locations but the music live really puts you in the concert hall as you listen to it.

I yes Pete I love yanni's performances.I kinda wish he would get back in the mix and go on a world tour or something lol.I think he has alot of fans out west here and a concert at Staples Center or the Oakland Collesium would be huge.

That is a very strong melodied but wonderful song I agree.

I just picked this up whiel surfing youtube........I'm glad to see the queen of pop is back and rumors have it with a new album.

Even at the age of 44,Janer remains the pinnacle of pop and dance and will be my favorite performer/artist forever.

These ladies were very likely the most talented femal musicians(that actually played musical instruments lol) of the 1970's.

When I found out that they actually played their own guitars in this song I was blown away Shocked

Independant black women Razz Wink Cool
