I really have mixed feelings about this.

On the one hand I feel that he saved my tax dollars the trouble of having to carry his sorry rotten evil ass through what likely would have been a very lengthy murder trial where his wealthy parents might have been able to make enough influence behind the scenes to get him off and let yet another privledged little turd spawned from our immoral society slip through the palms of justice.

On the other hand I think,what if he didnt intend to kill his victim?Either way his death is just the tragic loss of another human being that will have a very negative effect on another grieving family that must bury their loved one.

For those that dont know Phillip Markoff was charged last year with the murder of New York model and massuese Julissa Brissman after what appeared to have been a botched robbery at a lavish Boston hotel.He also was charged with the robbery and assault of 2 other women prior to that incident.What stunned everyone about the case was that Phillip Markoff wasnt a known street punk with a criminal record but a supposedly clean cut medical student that was actually engaged to be married last year in April when the incident occured and he was later captured.






Today Markoff was found unresponsive in his jail cell while awaited trial on first degree murder charges.He was 24 years old.Investigators say that it appears that he commited suicide by asphyxiation though an official autopsy to determine the exact cause and time of death will be performed later this week.

Markoff was given the media slicked term "craigslist killer" because he met all of his victims including Brissman on the popular social networking site.The case brought to light the nationwide alertness to the dangers and risks of meeting random people from the internet in person through such social networks as myspace,facebook,twitter or craigslist.

I know for myself I certainly was more weary of who I even exchanged business information with over the internet following that incident.A very unforgiving and dangerous world we live in nowdays.......not to be taken for granted for even a moments notice.

Im pretty sure he did it.They have him onb camera,chatting on his facebook account with her,and his finger prints on the gun.

Why he did it would be the much more challenging question lol.He wasnt a bad looking guy and had a somewhat attractive fiance and a promising future in medicine.He seems to fit a profile much like Ted Bundy did 3 decades ago.A self made outcast for reasons known only unto him.

I think that he felt confident in his upstanding,college,white boy image that he could undoubtedly get away with his crime.....how much that played into the motive behind the acts is another ponderance though.

Call me crazy but I fault both parties in this incident.The girl should have known better than to fish for and meet anonymous people online in real life.Just like kids are tought how not to talk or interact with strangers.There are just too many wackos out there for someone to be chances meeting up with someone that they know nothing about.

But I guess this kind of goes back to the parenting issue we were discussing lol.

There are ways to meet up with people that you befriend or like online safely.

1.Meet in a public area in the daytime.

2.Bring a freind or several freinds with you.

3.Make sure that you confirm what the person looks like through webcam chats.

4.Be sure to have a close source of communication like a cellphone just incase you need to call police or loved ones in an emergency situation.

Indeed you should be careful what you say and do when deciding to meet with someone online that you never knew prior but not all people are crazy maniacs( ) like this guy.
